Heartside Support
A safe space for healing

All About Heartside Support
Why Heartside Support Exists
In Aotearoa New Zealand, we honour diverse ways of grieving whether through storytelling, rituals, or quiet reflection. Grief is often misunderstood. Many people are told to “be strong,” “move on,” or “find closure,” even when they’re still trying to understand what grief feels like. For those dealing with invisible grief, sudden loss, or long-term sadness, traditional mental health resources can sometimes feel overwhelming or impersonal.
Heartside Support was created to offer an alternative - a softer approach to coping with grief, where emotional wellbeing and self-compassion come first.

Our Commitment
Heartside Support is built with care, respect, and inclusivity at its heart. We acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi and honour the cultural traditions of all New Zealanders in grief. Above all, this is a safe, non-judgmental space where your journey is respected.
Who Heartside is for
Heartside Support is for anyone experiencing grief after losing a loved one, navigating grief after a breakup or separation, or feeling lost after someone dies. It’s for those coping with grief quietly, those learning to live with grief, and those starting the healing process after loss even if they don’t know where to begin. You don’t need to explain your pain. You don’t need to justify your sadness. This space exists for you, exactly as you are.
